Kenneth Williamson became Director of Research and Innovation in 2019 after serving as Director of the Regulatory Affairs Department for six years.   He leads efforts at Clean Water Services (CWS) to promote innovations in wastewater treatment, regulatory innovation, business operations and environmental restoration.  Before coming to CWS, he was a Professor at Oregon State University where he held the Shirley Kuse Chair in Chemical Engineering and was the School Head for Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering.  He conducted research on wastewater and hazardous waste treatment and sustainable environmental management.
