Jennifer Loudon is an environmental scientist with 20 years of laboratory experience in wet chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, ecotoxicology, marine biology, and protein biochemistry. Project areas have included solid waste and wastewater management, anaerobic biodegradation and bioremediation of halogenated organic compounds, aquatic ecotoxicity analysis, and Green Fluorescent Protein purification and utilization. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Sciences and a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Rutgers University. For the past 10 years, Jennifer has been Laboratory Manager at Raritan Township MUA in Flemington, NJ, USA. In 2018, she was selected to be one of 1,000 young professionals from around the world to come together at UNLEASH in Singapore to develop and accelerate innovative solutions to the Sustainable Development Goals by partnering with companies, NGOs, government agencies, investors, and foundations that are at the forefront of innovation and global development. Recently, Ms. Loudon founded a smart water startup, Intelligent Water Services, that offers wastewater treatment utilities a streamlined way of managing industrial users through a Process-as-a-Service business model. The technology employed enables tracking the discharges and getting financial compensation to be more efficient than standard industry practices.
