Mr Souza has been with Vinci Partners since inception, as a partner in the Private Equity department, responsible for investments in infra related and industrial segments. Since 2016, Mr Souza heads the infrastructure department, managing more than R$ 3billions in assets. 

He has served as board member of Celpa (Centrais Eletrica do Para), Cecrisa, and currently is in the board of Grupo CBO, LEST, Hydria and V2i Transmissao de Energia. Prior to joining Vinci Partners, he worked for Banco Pactual since 2005 as co-manager of FIP Brasil Energia (a USD 560 million infrastructure fund). Prior to this, he was a management consultant for Stern Stewart & Co., from 2001 to 2004. 

Previously, he had five years of experience in equity sales and trading with Citigroup Asset Management and Banco Graphus. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Escola Federal de Engenharia de Itajubá (EFEI) and an MBA with a major in Corporate Finance and Accounting from University of Rochester, New York (Beta Gamma Sigma award).
