Emerging Contaminants

Across the world, regulations are becoming increasingly strict for emerging contaminants, including pharmaceutical residues, pesticides and especially PFAS. With the European Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive and the revised Drinking Water Directive, as well as the US EPA developing a federal drinking water standard, this timely series will look closely at the challenges being faced in both Europe and the US, whilst also looking closely at the available technologies to reach these new limits.
